Peer Review Policy

Only those manuscripts that have not been previously published or submitted to another journal are considered for evaluation.

Submitted manuscripts undergo a preliminary check for plagiarism using Turnitin software. The plagiarism report must be less than 19% and must be less than 5% from AI and individual source. Eligible manuscripts are then evaluated by the Editor based on their originality, methodology, significance of the subject matter, and alignment with the journal's scope. The Editor conducts this evaluation without considering the ethnic origin, gender, citizenship, religious belief, or political philosophy of the authors. A fair double-blind peer review process is employed for the selected manuscripts.

The selected manuscripts are sent to at least two reviewers, (one national reviewer and one international reviewer) for evaluation, and the final publication decision is made by the Editor after considering the modifications made by the authors based on the reviewers' feedback.

 Retraction Policy and correction policy

Following guidelines have been proposed by the publisher, Institute of Business Management  for Correction and Retraction decisions. These guidelines have been derived from the COPE Retraction Guidelines.

Editors should consider retracting a publication if:

  • They have clear evidence that the findings are unreliable, either as a result of major error (eg, miscalculation or experimental error), or as a result of fabrication (eg, of data) or falsification (eg, image manipulation)
  • It constitutes plagiarism
  • The findings have previously been published elsewhere without proper attribution to previous sources or disclosure to the editor, permission to republish, or justification (ie, cases of redundant publication)
  • It contains material or data without authorization for use
  • Copyright has been infringed or there is some other serious legal issue (eg, libel, privacy)
  • It reports unethical research
  • It has been published solely on the basis of a compromised or manipulated peer review process
  • The author(s) failed to disclose a major competing interest (a.k.a. conflict of interest) that, in the view of the editor, would have unduly affected interpretations of the work or recommendations by editors and peer reviewers.

Notices of retraction should:

  • Be linked to the retracted article wherever possible (ie, in all online versions)
  • Clearly identify the retracted article (eg, by including the title and authors in the retraction heading or citing the retracted article)
  • Be clearly identified as a retraction (ie, distinct from other types of correction or comment)
  • Be published promptly to minimise harmful effects
  • Be freely available to all readers (ie, not behind access barriers or available only to subscribers)
  • State who is retracting the article
  • State the reason(s) for retraction
  • Be objective, factual and avoid inflammatory language

Retractions are not usually appropriate if:

  • The authorship is disputed but there is no reason to doubt the validity of the findings
  • The main findings of the work are still reliable and correction could sufficiently address errors or concerns
  • An editor has inconclusive evidence to support retraction, or is awaiting additional information such as from an institutional investigation
  • Author conflicts of interest have been reported to the journal after publication, but in the editor’s view these are not likely to have influenced interpretations or recommendations or the conclusions of the article.

Complaint and Appeal Policy

  1. Appeals

While evaluating a submission for their publication, editor has an extensive amount of discretion. Many submissions are rejected with a very generic explanation and without being subjected to an external evaluation. It is not possible to formally appeal these decisions.

The author may appeal the decision by sending the editor a thorough, point-by-point response to all of the reviewer and editor comments if they feel that the decision to reject the submission was made outside of the journal's policies and procedures. The peer review procedure used for the submission will be examined by the editor. The Editor's decision to reject is final if the choice was made in accordance with editorial standards.

*If the author is dissatisfied with the Editor's decision, they may contact PJETS at:  pjets@iobm.edu.pk

  1. Complaints

Please submit an in-depth email to the Editor-in-Chief or publisher (PJETS) if you have any concerns about the journal's policies, procedures, publishing process, behavior of the editorial team, or anything else. Your question will be answered promptly. The complainants will then receive an email with the resolution.

For complaints kindly email to the Editor-in-Chief
