Intelligent transportation systems are a cutting- edge research field that has drawn the attention of academia, industry, and governments. In this paper, state-of-the-art architecture, applications, emerging radio access technologies, standardization, and resource requirements are summarized that are used to reduce traffic volume and congestion. The proposed system issues a warning through an alarm and applies the brakes to decrease the vehicle speed to reduce the chance of a collision. In this paper, communications between road infrastructure and drivers are also highlighted using a specific communication protocol. The vehicle industry has gained significant benefits from the new opportunities to make vehicular communication possible. This paper's model will reduce traffic congestion while also improving road safety. An integrated wireless network system facilitates vehicle-to-vehicle communications, allowing cars to communicate with one another and infrastructure in real time by sending messages and signals by indicating what's heading through.
